My Story & Approach...
My journey into nutrition stems from my own lived experience. In 2018, I was hospitalised and diagnosed with an eating disorder – an experience that deeply shaped how I view health and food today. Going through recovery taught me the importance of compassion, balance, and sustainable habits. It also inspired me to study dietetics so I could help others who might be facing the same challenges I once did.
In 2021, I started my Instagram community @nutrition.by.kayla, where I share simple recipes, nutrition tips, and everyday inspiration with over 30,000 individuals who want to eat well without guilt.
After completing my Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics at Griffith University in July 2025, I launched Nutrition.by.Kayla Online Dietitian Consults as a space where women can feel supported, understood, and guided by evidence-based strategies – not food rules or diet culture.
My approach is simple: no “good” or “bad” foods, no fad diets, no guilt. Instead, I focus on practical, realistic changes that fit your lifestyle and help you achieve your goals – whether that’s rebuilding your relationship with food, restoring energy, supporting sports performance, or simply feeling more confident in everyday eating.

My Values
-
Simplicity – advice that’s realistic and easy to follow
-
Compassion – a safe, supportive, non-judgmental space
-
Balance – food as both nourishment and enjoyment
-
Empowerment – giving you the tools to thrive long-term
